I’m going to put a few thoughts out there under the assumption this isn’t a massive diversion and plan by Russia to move its troops out of Ukraine and possibly drop a few nukes on the way out…
If it is real…
1. This is Putin’s most vulnerable moment. Whatever internal opposition Putin has should be making their moves and a time for choosing is at hand for all.
2. Ukraine has forces inside russia and presumably around Moscow, as evidenced by the drones sent over the Kremlin a month ago. Right now some timely explosions could set off a powder keg.
3. Putin could totally clean house and bring Prego Sauce in the fold.
4. I wonder what the Chinese are thinking right now…

Ukrainian intelligence is everywhere in Russia and so many of the Wagner troops have defected into the Russian opposition fighters that the avenues for "influence" are unlimited. And Ukrainian intel's relationship to the CIA is the same as the Ukrainian military's relationship to the U.S. military.
The CIA would be busy in a major kind of way in this type of situation. Running around talking to lots of characters around the region. The job of the CIA and the State Department, should Russia begin to faulter, is to make sure that when and if it falls, it falls toward the west rather than toward China. Scumbags like Lukashenko are scared shitless right now. He has made Putin his god and protector but now daddy is beginning to faulter. The CIA and State Department's job is to help show him how he can go forward. Ditto for all the crapistans around Russia.
This is the moment you all waited. Putin looks like is done. If it continues more than a day or 2 Ukraine has an excellent chance to win war in the next week
I think though Putin will make an offer to Wagner in exchange for security guaranties.
If Prigozhin gets what he want today then there are multiple possibilities from fast withdrawing from Ukraine to using nukes very soon. I have no idea what his strategic vision.
