Russia & Ukraine

No,they would not.The US has thousands of troops in Korea and Japan and China isn't invading those countries.

Ukraine was not about to join NATO

If the threat was NATO why didn't Putin invade Finland and Sweden? Finland is arguably a better strategic position for NATO than Ukraine.

Because the Chinese haven't gone totally mad, unlike Kennedy back in the day, to declare war on the US. That is why Putin started the invasion prior to your troops officially moving into Ukraine, as that would have been too late. Now with the invasion going on, NATO won't be able to enter Ukraine. He basically has beaten the US to it.

If thats a justifiable reason why didn't he invade Finland and Sweden? He knew for a fact, not speculation like Ukraine, that they were/are joining NATO months ahead of time.

Ukraines border length with Russia is 1200 miles,Finland is not far behind at 850.Finlands border with Russia is just 150 miles from St Petersberg and closer to Russias main nuclear submarine base than Ukraine.

At the time they were not joining NATO as far as I am aware and they did not feel threatened by Russia or they would have entered ages ago. But the speed with which they were enrolled, proves that this can be done super quick and Ukraine could have been accepted probably just as quick. Not anymore. Ukraine is a de facto member of NATO though.

Murmansk is Russia's biggest nuclear submarine base and the Russian Navys
Northern Fleet headquaters.St Petersberg is one of Russias most prominent citys and Putins hometown.Look how close Finland/NATO is to both, but Putin did nothing to stop that although NATO on its border is supposedly such a big issue.

It's not just NATO, I did post previously that there are more reasons than one for the invasion.

How dumb is Putin? Use Russias military resources to invade Ukraine and than cant stop NATO from sliding into an even more valuable position right next to St Petersberg and Russias most important Navy base, home of most their nuclear subs. Also crippling their military and economy for decades to come and cutting the value of their biggest export by 40%.

Yes you did post Kremlin talking points before.

Now for the number one real reason, President Pu's ego drives him to attempt to rebuild the failed Soviet Union a second time.

You’re putting words in his mouth, when did he say that?
