Putin Fires 'Butcher of Mariupol' Russian General, Mikhail Mizintsev
The Russian commander known as "the Butcher of Mariupol" has been removed from his position, according to a Russian war correspondent.
Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev has garnered a reputation for ruthless brutality in Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He is particularly associated with the bombardment of the southern port city of Mariupol, which Moscow claimed in May 2022.
Mizintsev was appointed deputy defense minister for logistics in late September 2022, state media reported. The "butcher will build a new slaughterhouse," Ukraine's defense ministry tweeted as the news broke.
He has now been "fired" from his position, according to a Telegram post from Alexander Sladkov, a correspondent for the state-run newspaper Izvestia.

I have previously stated my personal view that this is the wrong time to pick a fight with China. We are not happy with China in many respects, but on the other hand China, given the constraints they are under and consideration of their own best interest (which is what they should consider) China's leader, Xi jinping, is acting quite responsibly. We should cool the anti China rhetoric, which is not in our best interest, keep up an active dialogue and actively work on resolving our differences. We need China on our side, and they need us on their side.

There are multiple reasons why it will be impossible for Russia to obtain total military victory in Ukraine. Perhaps the lack of enthusiasm among Russian conscripts will prove to be the primary reason for failure. Despite certain failure, Russia will persist, just as the U.S. persisted beyond reason in an unwinnable war in Indochina. Most likely, this war will end for Russia as it did for the U.S. in Vietnam, with Russia refusing to acknowledge defeat and going home. Still, although all wars stem from our common, instinctual tribal nature as the result of our specie's evolution, all wars are not the same. Regardless, in this particular war in Ukraine, a Russian military victory is precluded by too many unfavorable factors.
You need to be aware of Chinese mentality, very competitive, give an inch and they'll take a yard.
If you let them into any country, they strip it down to its bare bones.
Go soft on China and they'll smell your weakness.
They put on the sweet innocent charm act when seducing you, but behind the fascade they plot.
The West are stupid and need to wake up, harden up.
