Russia & Ukraine

I think Vietnam and Afghanistan had some similarities, the locals on your side were also aiding the other side. You were trying to help but they really didn't want it.

End result US pulled out and Vietnam financially was a cot case for decades.
Similarly Afghanistan, it's going back to the stone age.
That's what they want, that's what they get.

I agree. The official South Vietnamese government did ask The US (and multiple other countries) for help though so MWs claim that it was a US invasion is false

Ukrainians wait for Russians to 'shoot each other' as internal rift widens; Xi, Zelenskyy reportedly to talk
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ukrainians-wait-russians-shoot-other-125827204.html

Putin actually needs to watch his backside in regard to Xi talking to Zelensky.

Putin is all about his personal legacy, "Russian World, Prince of Kiev stuff and military action to restore the Russian Empire in some form. But Xi is an economics guy. He loves to conquer world markets. And he does not like nuclear wars that interrupt markets and his Belt and Road Initiative and create all sorts of sanctions.

Putin looks at Kherson and Mariupol and thinks "I can flatten those places."

Xi looks at them and thinks "Putin just flattened them, I can rebuild them and their ports for Ukraine for a piece of the action." Cha-ching, cha-ching.

Yeh. Snakefest. It is not good for Ukraine to see Xi talking so much to Putin. But, as I said, Putin has some things to worry about too.

If they can't agree on terms, then how can there be peace? Takes two to tango. Seriously!

So Russia's terms for peace are they get to keep the regions they violently attacked, they are not punished for all the rapes, murders of civilians, kidnappings & other war crimes, they do not have to pay financial compensation for their crimes and stolen property, and that Ukraine is reduced to a subservient state of Putin's new Soviet Union.

I think not. These terms pushed by Russians are not "terms for peace" or even realistic. The nonsense pushed by Putin and his neo-Nazi cronies are simply unacceptable.

What do you care? I don't believe for a moment that you are concerned about Ukraine. Your main interest is to keep Ukrainians hating Russians, Russians hating Ukrainians, and for the fighting to continue to keep weakening Russia. This is the ultimate strategy of the US. Everything else is BS.
