That's all great and then Russians will likely launch a nuke, then NATO responds with a nuke, and then it either goes completely out of control or that's where it ends as in most critical times. You can of course state that Russian's nukes are rusty and will never take off, and how NATO's nukes are faster, more precise, that NATO's nukes will take out Putin's residence whilst he is sitting on his commode, etc. None of this can be guaranteed, it is just your vivid imagination, you probably can't even predict what S&P500 would do tomorrow with any level of accuracy, yet when it comes to how the nuclear stage will play out if it were to happen, you seem to be shining with a high level of proficiency, ya Ok, fanks for the intel bro!

It must suck when your country's President is a war criminal who can only travel to a mere five or so autocratic countries abroad without being put in front of a tribunal. Guess Putin can sit at home on his commode.

How Late Soviet Satire Set the Tone for Russian State TV Today
By Sofia Kosourova Updated: 2 hours ago

In the dying days of the Soviet Union, a satirical TV show called Fifth Wheel (Pyatoe Koleso) aired a subversive episode that stunned audiences unused to such transgressive broadcasting. Now a classic, "Lenin Was a Mushroom" argued exactly what its title suggested.

Despite using questionable data, fake experts, obviously falsified evidence and lying blatantly throughout, host Sergei Sholokhov and his guest, the musician Sergei Kuryokhin, were nevertheless a little too convincing for their relatively naïve Soviet audience, and many viewers took the satire at face value.

Three decades later, it's worth recalling the incident given that Russian state media is now a place where alternative viewpoints are shunned and where wild conspiracy theories are presented as objective facts..........

Being a crew member on this ship is not the safest job on the planet.

The Ukrainians just got missiles from the Brits that reach this puppy but I don't know if they have arrived and are set up yet.

Y'all know of course that the Americans tracked the Moskvich and gave the Unkrainians the coordinates and had civilian advisors on the ground to help with the firing. That is why the Ukrainians suddenly were "experts" a few weeks into the war.

Most likely if the Brits sent those long range missiles to Ukraine and if they have arrived they have some "civilians advisers" there to help them to be ready very fast. Not that the Brits would talk about it, just as the Americans did not with the Moskvich.

Erdogan may have tipped off Nato too that it was coming through. He is Putin's buddy but also a Nato member- sigh. But he is willing to trade intel to the Americans in exchange for more earthquake relief, especially with his election coming right up - fucking whore that he is. The Americans track all that stuff anyway. Erdogan claims to control the dardenelles strait and claims he will not let any Russian ships through. But the Ruskies pay him to look the other way if the price is right.

Russian Ship Loaded With Military Equipment Enters Black Sea
A Russian cargo ship slipped quietly into the Black Sea with a suspected load of war supplies for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The ship, Sparta IV, was loaded in Syria and sailed with a Russian Navy escort. Although Turkey closed the waterway between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea to Russian warships, the flow of military supplies continues.

Realistically, it's to the last Russian. The Kremlin is ordering Russian soldiers to go fight with shovels and rifles from the 1800s.

Russian troops ordered to fight with 'shovels' in hand-to-hand combat, UK defense intel says
https://www.businessinsider.com/rus...ed-fight-with-shovels-uk-defense-intel-2023-3
  • Russian soldiers were told to fight with only "firearms and shovels," the Ministry of Defence said
  • The shovels are believed to be the MPL-50 entrenching tool, designed in1869, said the UK ministry.
  • The order showed the "brutal and low-tech fighting" that now characterizes the war, said the MoD.
(More at above url)

Shovels prove Putin remains a master strategist. Think of all the utility shovels provide. A soldier can use the shovel to dig a grave for his compatriots and use it as a weapon that never requires ammunition. A practical solution for ammunition shortages indeed.

On a more serious note, it appears Ukraine's strategy is to make Russian occupation of Ukraine's territory prohibitively expensive in manpower and material for Russia. While the Russian people have certainly felt the effect of the war and sanctions by now, what of the future? Does Putin risk losing a generation of economic and social progress for a war with no victory in sight?
