Yep. I went into that in another Russia thread or maybe this one.
But my take there was that this whole scenario works against China unless they move while the ammo and equipment are depleted. Otherwise you have new plants firing up in Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Canada to increase ammo. They are behind but nevertheless they are in motion. NATO is even firing up a munitions plant in Bulgaria to produce Soviet era ammunition because some of the current Nato members are still using Warsaw pact equipment, PLUS, the Ukrainians are using a lot of Ruskie captured artillery and tanks too. So yeh, if Xi attacks Taiwan in the near future the current depletion of ammo and equipment works in his favor, but longer term the current scenario works against him if he does not move soon. The last, last, last thing Xi ever wanted out of Putin was to do something that would put the entire west on a war footing- even if the current war stopped tomorrow. Xi was actually hoping that Putin would take Ukraine in a tidy little efficient operation and set an example of how a country can recapture "it's historic lands" without it being a national and worldwide nightmare.
Putin really fucked Xi on this one. The US is tripling its nato presence in eastern Europe, and doubling it training and supplies and equipment to Taiwan. Xi did not want that.

Yeah, I know exactly how demolition derby Trump would do it, Putin will stop war for a week or two, Trump would halt all arms sales to Ukraine forever on a promise to Putin.
Maybe Trump would also pull out of NATO.

Normally from every meeting between Trump and Putin there should be a transcript. Reality is that Trump refused that a transcript was made from meetings with Putin, to avoid that the US would know what they were speaking about. That confirms that Trump and Putin were speaking about things that were against the safety of the US. Probably millions for Trump if he would follow Putin's instructions. The attack on Capitol Hill and the so called manipulated elections were examples of things that would make Putin happy as it would create chaos in the US and Putin would "control" the US partially.
The articles below confirm that Trump refused transcripts (he threw out the person who had to make the transcript at some meetings) of his meetings with Putin. Trump also weakend the West by cancelling all kind of military or political agreements and institutions.
