New York Times: “The Russian soldiers have been plagued by poor morale as well as fuel and food shortages. Some troops have crossed the border with MREs (meals ready to eat) that expired in 2002, U.S. and other Western officials said, and others have surrendered and sabotaged their own vehicles to avoid fighting.”
 
Latest economic news from Russia: apparently all rolling stock on the railroads in Russia has been switched from ball bearings to cassette bearings. There are only 3 factories in Russia that produce such bearings, all foreign-owned and all extremely reliant on imported parts. So - a big scramble to redesign the railroad cars. Or the railroad distribution network comes to standstill.

Order of Yekaterinburg police. Policemen are not allowed to use their foreign produced cars anymore because under the sanction regime they can't re repaired. No spare parts.
