I heard that the Russians attacked Belarus themselves and are blaming it on Ukraine. Wouldn't surprise me, but the mis-information is in full swing, just how they want it. I think even those originating the lies are now lost in that web of lies. Only the dead know the truth.

LVIV, Ukraine (Reuters) -Ukraine's armed forces said Russian aircraft fired at a Belarusian settlement near the border with Ukraine from Ukrainian air space on Friday to try to drag Belarus into Moscow's war on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian air force said at 1430 local time (1230 GMT) the state border service received information that Russian aircraft had taken off from an airfield in Belarus, crossed into Ukrainian air space and then fired at the village of Kopani.
"This is a PROVOCATION! The goal is to involve the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war with Ukraine!," Ukraine's Air Force Command said in an online statement.
The Ukrainian military said two other Belarusian settlements were also targeted in the same operation.
"We officially declare: the Ukrainian military has not planned and does not plan to take any aggressive action against the Republic of Belarus," the security service said in a statement.

A jury in the underage sex trial of an outspoken former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter on Tuesday watched a nude video of him sent over the Internet to a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
The person who received the photo was not the girl but Detective Ryan Venneman of Barrett Township, one of the first witnesses to testify on opening day of the trial in Monroe County Common Pleas Court.
Ritter, 49, of Delmar, New York, a suburb of Albany, faces a maximum of seven years in prison if he’s convicted.
Prosecutors said Ritter’s online chat with 15-year-old “Emily” in February 2009 was actually the third such encounter since he quit his job as chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq in 1998 and became a vocal critic of the Bush administration’s war in Iraq.
In 2001, Ritter was involved in two other similar sex sting cases, prosecutor Michael Rakaczewski said in his opening statement.
Defense attorney Gary Kohlman said Ritter was never charged in 2001 and that the case had been sealed.
Kohlman also blamed Ritter’s behavior in 2001 on his state of depression over resigning as chief U.N. weapons inspector.
As the trial got underway, Ritter sat stoically at the defense table while Detective Venneman read a transcript of the online chat in February of 2009. The text was explicit, and Ritter’s twin 18-year-old daughters sat through the reading.
Ritter’s daughters left the courtroom before the prosecution played graphic video Ritter shot of himself with his web camera during the chat.

Ukrainians say that they are willing to forego Nato membership in an effort to reach common ground with Russia but if you listen to their foreign minister he says that Ukraine would have to have an agreement from other western countries that they would come to Ukraines aid if they are attacked so that begins to sound like some kind of Nato-lite that is not going to fly with either Russia or the west. Ukraine is an unstable country. One of the conditions of joining Nato has always been that you were not at war or unstable at the time of application. That has been the goal anyway. Probably if you go country by country there have been exceptions.
And Russia comes to the table with their head up their arse. They invaded and demolished a country and now want the invaded country to demilitarize as though they have been the invader or something. And they want assurances that Nato power in the region will be decreased right as it is being quadrupled by new members and increased troops in current member countries.
Not exactly fertile ground to reach a deal any time soon.
If only we had international body that could broker such agreements and assert itself in such times. We could call it the United Nations or something like that.
