We have to be careful with this stuff but what I will say is that China is watching the west’s reaction to Ukraine very closely as it may relate to Taiwan.

There is the well worn argument that this whole thing is pushing Russia closer to China.

Of late there are reports that China is miffed at Putin's handling of this invasion and that the Chinese are the ones the put the pressure on Russia to have this fake negotiations session today and some other things. I sort of dismissed this idea of China being pissed with Vlad as being American propaganda or wishful thing or whatever.

But you know what? I am changing my mind a bit. This is not going well for China. Xi's goal/hope was to see Putin take Ukraine in a somewhat methodical manner and somewhat normalize the business of countries taking "mis-aligned" territorities and that it is perfectly understandable why breakways need to be brought back to the Motherland/Fatherland whatever. Then he does the same to Taiwan, expecting lots of blowback, but basically gettin er done.

Except now Putin has become a monster and a pariah in the world. That is not the template that Xi wanted to see Putin establish.

I may change my mind after I finish my coffee but for now, I don't think this is going well for China. Obviously, I did not get into the fact that China is also having to see the West rally against Putin, but there is that too of course. Just sayin that China wanted Vlad to grease the skids - not give invasions a bad name.

Fucking Russia propaganda. Putin’s failure in Kyiv has been an inability to gain air superiority. The Russians continue to lob rockets but every time they walk in they get the shit kicked out of them.

I mentioned some time before the Russians are using “dummy soldiers.” One year conscripts who don’t know what exactly they are doing in Ukraine until the bullets and rockets come flying at them. The spetznas has reportedly taken significant losses and the Wagner group keeps getting lost in Kyiv and arrested by normal citizens.

This isn’t 1939, the Ukrainians have passed even the longest window thinking they could hold out Kyiv.

The Ruskies are starting to get extra ugly now that they have brought a lot of their artillery in.

It has been much discussed that if the ruskies have to go house to house and do urban fighting that it will be a nightmare for them. True that.

However, the history of Russian fighting in Chechnya and other places is that they avoid that just by using the artillery and carpet bombing to level the urban areas without having to go house to house or eyeball to eyeball.

Yeh but the Krauts were spread mighty thin and fighting on multiple fronts so it is hard to make a comparison. This is the only game Russia has going right now. Plus he was able to position troops under the guise of "training exercises." The cat was sort of out of the bag when German troops moved.

When i visited Belgrade and walked past those building that were hit,i was very pro American to that point.It's next to Ministry of defence and they have a guard on duty there, i saluted him,because this moment made me open my eyes to how much of what i think is propaganda.
When that war happened i was in New York i did not even know there was a war in Yugoslavia

the truth is there is no fight for democracy,its just business

all those fact checkers you paste are just that propaganda to the masses
