Russia & Ukraine

The US is a bully and the EU are these weak members of the gang that dare not to speak up against the bully and must do what they are told to do by the bully. Freedom? You don’t have freedom when you are a member of a club, you have responsibilities, in this case we all know who our master is.

Someone was/is being democratically shafted.

I get it, but what you refuse to understand is that Russia won’t accept Ukraine becoming a member of NATO, it won’t accept Ukraine being a de facto member of NATO either, it won’t accept the US muscling its way into Ukraine by means of an organised coup that took place. Does any US neighbouring country have this freedom of choice that you refer to when discussing Ukraine’s wishes? Highly unlikely. Because the US is a bigger bully than Russia is, cause they can & that’s all there is to it. You can’t discuss freedoms of Ukraine, when you don’t grant this freedom of choice to your sovereign neighbours.

You are not getting it, if US decides to invade Mexico if it joined some anti-US coalition, they would be just as condemned as Russia is now. Leave the whataboutery for the politicians, why are you indulging in it.

I don’t indulge, I try to understand why this happened, as a peaceful resolution is only possible by understanding what both parties want (but we have 3 parties in this case). Ukraine government and some of the Ukrainian people want alliance with western powers and corporations, other Ukrainians don’t want this, nobody asked them, there was no referendum on future direction of Ukraine. Russia won’t accept Ukraine joining NATO in any shape or form. Ukraine won’t barge either. So we have a stalemate, so Ukraine will continue to be wrecked in the process. I don’t like it, but this is the reality.

Probably not. But, can you prove that NATO was not planning to attack Russia by expanding towards its borders? Because this is the conclusion that the US would undeniably arrive at if an anti-American alliance would be expanding towards the US borders. “If you know a fight is about to start, you must make the first move” (Putin).

putin wants to expand russia.
why? - because he seems to be somehow stuck in 19th/18th/... century.

(and because he is a very short man with very bad education and horrible inferiority complex - we know this.)

on the other hand - no country was ever forced to join NATO (or EU).

countries that want to be part of nato just want to be left alone. they want peace and prosperity - that's why many of them are also part of eu (or would like to be).

see the difference - it's not difficult. you have a brain - start using it.

sooner or later the brainwashing in russia will stop, hopefully.

or maybe not.

what about you learning the chinese language - pretty difficult, right?

lol ...

Russia won’t accept Ukraine joining NATO in any shape or form.

"russia" will have much bigger problems in the coming decades, and many of them - believe me.

and "russia" (or whatever it will be called then) won't be in a position to do anything against ukraine, moldova or georgia, etc. joining nato or eu.

What gives Russia the right to say what another sovereign nation can or cant do?

What gives Russia the right to say what another sovereign nation can or cant do?

give it up - russians live in their own sick universe of long gone glory and megalomania

their slow bleeding will go on as long as necessary, until they finally wake up

20+ years of russian terror are enough.
