Interesting little development here- still in its early stages I guess.

Looks like the Ukrainians - at least some commandos- have crossed the river in Kherson.

That has always been the dilemma for the Ukrainians- ie. if the Russians settle in over on the other side of the river, then what? Just be there in Kherson while they shell the place? Or go over and engage them and either kill them or move them along. But doing that requires highly fatigued Ukrainian soldiers who have been fighting since February to continue on with no rest and no equipment over on that side of the river.

The west is down a few quarts in several areas too. The west does not have unlimited supply by any means.

A couple Russian generals who are retired and are anti-putin argue that Russia has lots and lots and lots of conventional artillery rounds. One of them said that he personally knew of an ammo depot in Moldova that required 24,000 rail cars to load all the ammo there.

But, to make an argument in the other direction, there is an article in Forbes that says that the Russians have plenty of artillery shells and other ammo but once it arrives in an ammo dumps near the front, the Ukrainians keep blowing it up with HIMARS so that is where the real shortage sets in. And artillery barrels are increasing reaching their useful/functional life so the artillery ammo/shells are useless there.

It;s like everything else in the Russian Army. You can make a case that there is some yuge number of soldiers, some yuge number of tanks, some huge number of armored personnel carriers, some yuge number planes, etc but who the hells knows what works and whether the soldiers can keep their pants from falling down and have had anything to eat and whether the tanks have had an oil change since 1972.

They obviously are hurting for surface to ground missiles because they are using a lot of surface to air missiles in Ukraine every day to target ground sites and they would not do that unless they had no alternative.

Bunch of fuck ups. Getting sick of all of em. Let's git er done by bringing out the big guns......which would be to offer every Russian soldier's family two free washing machines and 10,000 dollars if their guy surrenders. The mammas in the family will make it happen.

On the other hand, I don't see any great results from the Ukrainians and all these freelancing hactivists who were going to help out in attacking Russia. Why the fuck have they not brought significant parts of Russia's infrastructure down by now to counter the infrastructure attacks in Ukraine? Where's the beef?

Why you don't you read this thread. It outlines just a tiny portion of the wins inside Russia by hackers aligned with western democracies. It should be noted that Russia has needed to revert to old-school manual control for most manufacturing and transportation control.
