I see psychopathy. A loss of an accurate perception of reality. Basically I see some kind of mild onset of madness...certainly nothing that anyone here can take seriously.

One instance I can cite is GWB... hard to deny he lost the plot at some point. His persistence of total obfuscation and dishonesty points.. to anyone with a stable personality.. to his loss of any tether to reality.

Anyone here for any length of time has seen it repeatedly. Its a human attribute. Most of us work hard to keep at at length. Some achieve more success than others.

Unable as they say in aviation.

I need 5 more years in the system if I am being realistic with myself and I am always harshly realistic in my own affairs.

Certainly not interested in harming anyone. Just need a few more years to make a comfortable escape. I'll hold my tongue where necessary and just ease out to some kind of emigration.

A man brought my family here from Scotland just under 500 years ago. I will take my family to another place. We know when we see tyranny.

You need to seek treatment. I have no dog in any fight but I can recognize a nutter when I see one. Your posts represent a loss of rationality. I hold no animus towards your person. It is simply a clinical observation.

It's exquisite to find someone who aligns himself with people who push continuously fantasies such as 5G causes Covid, Covid vaccines are killing tens of thousands of people (while in reality they saved over 20 million lives), ivermectin cures Covid, the Big Lie, the January 6th insurrectionists are heroes, and all sorts of twisted fantasies --- is trying to claim someone else is persistent in "total obfuscation and dishonesty ". I provide information with facts supported by reputable sources (which are linked) in posts -- people who continually peddle fantasies they found on social media and blogs don't tend to like this.

I am perfectly willing to debate politics based on facts and accept the opinions of others. However the basis of the debate needs to be facts --- not twisted nonsense devoid of reality. Sadly our national politics have sunk to new lows --- where facts don't matter. This can be called the "Trump effect".

I personally draw the line when people started pushing all sorts of fabrications which undermine public health -- in the case of Covid this misinformation caused tens of thousands of deaths. Even before the pandemic struck I found anti-vaxxers to be unacceptable. Before 2020 these anti-vax people were a minor fringe group, most of them "naturalist" crunchy-granola liberals. Now the majority of MAGA crowd constantly spew anti-vax Covid-denier talking points --- plus all sorts of other fantasies such as the Big Lie.
 
I try to apply the Russian logic on the situation in Ukraine and I would make the following message to Putin:
An attack on the nuclear plant in Zaporizhzhia would be seen as an attack against NATO. We all know that the fallout of that attack will result in nucleair threaths in NATO area. So we consider this as a declaration of war as NATO is till now not involved in the Ukrainian war. Russia knows about the fallout as they showed it already on all media, so they know it will damage NATO area.

I cannot see who you are arguing with. I had thought it was GWB based on your tone, but then I saw you referred to GWB second hand (completely accurately, I might add). I'm curious, though.
