I don't mind being corrected with the right number, but my impression is that there are only about 10-20 hymar launch systems in Ukraine right now. With four here and a couple there on the way.

Damn, the hymar do a hell of job but that is just a very low number given the massive, massive amount of artillery that Russia has. A lot of theirs are clunkers but collectively they are a force. Cutting off their ammo resupply is fruitful. But there will have to be a lot more of it. Lots and lots of Russian artillery out there.

Maybe eventually aircraft will do more to cut off the supply or warthogs going after Russian positions but those planes will make great targets for the Russians too.

Killing another 30,000 Russians would help too. Right now they are still running a WW1 trench and artillery campaign. Keep blowing those ammo dumps up. Blowing up ammo dumps iz good.

The current Russian war effort is driven by the logistics are being able to deliver artillery ammo & supplies. HIMARS started to precisely take out their ammo dumps causing issues with the logistics -- which can be seen with the falling rate of Russian fire in recent days.

At this time I expect that Russians have seen what a limited number of HIMARS are capable of doing and are concerned as more are delivered the tide of war will turn in Ukraine from being a stalemate to going downhill for the Russians. This, of course, has enhanced the concern of those backing Putin that Russia will not even be able hold on in eastern Ukraine to impose a winter stalemate by digging in, claiming the territory as Russian, and fending off a Ukraine offense.

Pardon my distracted misspelling of "hymar." I got my hymens and my himars mixed up.

There is reduced shelling where the himars are operational. But there is a multi-hundreds of miles of front where they are not operational.

Moving them around to get the ammo dumps and bridges is a good strategy with the limited numbers. But the need is great all up and down the front. and in the cities. The ruskies got lots and lots of artillery everywhere. It is their strong point.

Have to get some of those planes moving to chew into the bridges and other sites. There will be losses there though.
