Russia & Ukraine

A Russian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle, captured by the Ukrainian forces in Huliaipole, Zaporizhia blast.

The sign on the side "Za detey" is exactly same as on the Tochka-U rocket that killed dozens of people in Kramatorsk. You know, the one Russians absurdly claimed was fired by Ukrainians.

The Russians should have theoretically started a big push from the east this week because of the timing of force reconstitution and logistics after retreating from their Kyiv loss but it doesn’t seem like they can get even get that done. So yes, artillery where basic strategy and planning fails, it is after all the Russian way.

Ukraine claims to have begun an offensive push in the east due to stalled Russian offensive. Let’s see what they can do with it…

As quoted above, I was just saying yesterday that Russia was expected to get their offensive push from the east going in earnest this week. If the Russians are all jumbled up looking to push east but can’t get it together and the Ukrainians are prepared now would be a good time to get them moving backwards because they’re not in a defensive posture.

Good news for young Russian men. Although the Spring round-up for new conscripts is in progress, the Russian government has offered assurances that none of the conscripts will be sent to "the special miliary operation." Wow. Thank the Lord for that. And that comes from the government so they can count on it.

I hope they did not mean -instead- to offer assurances that they won't be coming back from the special military operation rather than that they won't be going- because that's kind of a different concept altogether.

Explainer: How does conscription work in Russia?

Also, and maybe the wokesters will tell me that I am not being culturally sensitive, but what's up with that stupid-arse hat that the doctor is wearing in one of those pictures. Another graduate of Chef Boyardee School of Medicine in Vladivostok or what? Take that ridiculous fucking hat off. dumphuk.

Russians propaganda is so optimistic :)

"В Зеленограде строят новый завод, который сможет выпускать микропроцессоры по технологии 28 нм. Авторы издания zelenograd.ru посетили стройплощадку. На ней есть информационный щит, на котором написано, что создание завода должно завершиться в IV квартале 2024 г."

"In Zelenograd a new factory is being built that will produce microprocessors at 28nm technology. We visited the building site. It has a stand that says that the factory should be finished in the fourth quarter of 2024."

This is hilarious. Yes, Russians can definitely build the walls and the roof. What they cannot build is the equipment to fill it up. And now they cannot buy it anywhere - sanctions. So - ROTFLMAO yes, they "started building it". Hoping that somehow, magically, some equipment shows up. (All this apart from the fact that 28nm is 2010 tech).
