Russia & Ukraine

Heres the thing with those long range missiles, how many do they have if they’re using their new hypersonic missiles?

Just saying, you don’t normally break out something like that unless 1. The isklander or however you spell it is ineffective or 2. You’re running low on effective long range missiles because the Russians theoretically would not like for the west to have info on the newer missiles. Or not, who knows…

The Iskander is hypersonic (Mach 6 to 7) has a range of 500Km
The Kinzhal, in the news today, is even more hypersonic (Mach 10 to 12) and has range of 2000Km

If you look at the location of Delyatyn on google maps, which is the location the Kinzhals attacked, it is a fairly distant location so out of the range of the Iskander

Russian PM just announced publicly that Russian economy is not going to collapse. In those words.

Prepare for the collapse.

Did he say it has just been bought by China
I think the hypersonic missiles are more a message to Nato than to the Ukranians.

He has plenty of missiles and artillery although the artillery is still not where he wants it. So the missiles do damage while the new set of russian clowns are to arrive soon. Odessa and those parts are receiving missiles from the war ships. And after the east is secured the ruskie troops will continue to move west. Putin hoping it will all come together whereby he can have some more troops and bring all that convoy type artillery right into the city to go full Aleppo.

The Ukranians of course get to fight back and have their owns plans. But they are in a mighty tough spot with the odds still against them. Yes, the ruskies will underperform but that's a lot of force to overcome, and Putin has always fought in his other battles by just lobbing artillery into the civilian areas to reduce them to parking lots. As previously discussed, I would not necessarily assume that the Russian pigs will do the dreaded house to house where all the pundits say they are so vulnerable. They starving the east to death and that, along with shelling everything that is standing is working for them. Mariupol be gone today if not already. Odessa a couple more days. etc.

Yes, as I said, the Ukranians get to have a say in all of that but it is not a good picture for them despite all the bright spots. As I said the other day the quality of the weapons coming in is good, so the russians just holding in the north waiting for reinforcements works for the Ukranians as well. Russians pretty much have the east now though.

I hear ya but the ruskies don't exactly have a fine tuning knob on their shelling and bombing.

That steel mill in Mariupol that they just destroyed was one of the largest in Europe and a real asset to the economy. I am pretty sure that Putin would have liked to keep that but twas not meant to be. Scorched earth goal comes first, or at least that is where he has ended out.

This is one of the areas where Putin is different from Xi, I think. China has always wanted Hong Kong and Taiwan back and they will achieve those goals. Hong Kong is a done deal now of course. But Xi is not interested in a pile of rubble. He wants the working societies and is willing to play a longer game. Xi might even play a role in trying to preserve Odessa, after all he knows that Russia is his oyster now. Xi looks at Ukraine-Russia and all of that in terms of segments of his belt-road initiative and he sees Odessa and steel mills in Mariupol through that lens. Putin is too stupid to think that way. He just wants to swing his dick and piss on the bushes in that area to mark his territory. Not to digress too much, but George Soros has invested bigtime and financed industry bigtime in that area - including the steel mills- so he will be pissed to see that go.

There are no thousands in any one place of course. It is a very wide (and deep) front - so yes there are thousands all over the place. A few here a few there. All together - yes, hundreds of dead just on that channel.

You will have noticed by now, the captain (really was a corporal) is not especially perceptive. He actually thinks there should be a picture with the hundreds in a day, across a large country, in one photo. I think he inhaled a lot of heavy metals stripping old factories.

Odd though he has a reasonable taste in movies.

So Putin has lost this war. His tanks and trucks failed. He's pissed and he's mad. So what's next? Is it endless random cruse missile strikes launched from Russia. That won't work either but it is something Putin can do while he stalls on admitting defeat.

Even those are limited. Recently had to deliver more of those (run out/expensive stuff), maybe will bring more with those 4 ships that recently passed next to Japan, or move into usuall artilery, yet you need at least 25 km of close range & with Ukrainians counter-attacking (plus new drones) & sanctions (hopefully) creating this burden,
- his options are getting lesser/tighter & few.

There have been reports here and there for the last 12 hours or so. Has not been confirmed completely yet, but - it has been reported by several sources now that a Russian 2-star general Andrey Mordvichev, commander of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District, has been eliminated in Chernobayevka by the Ukrainian forces.

That would be the highest rank killed yet. And a sixth Russian general killed.

NUMBER FIVE. I THINK YOU ARE TODAY'S BINGO WINNER!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
