It would be a huge loss of face for him considering the loss of Russian lives to date.

The only way there is a pause in the bloodshed is if Trump gets elected, and Putin temporarily quells the outward optics of his conquestial aspirations.... just to mock the Western world haters of Trump.... with a longer term game plan that will still remain intact.... (and additionally play Trump as a fool in the long run for buying into it.)

Vladimir Putin gave Joe Biden and NATO an easy out. Freezing the frontlines to the present time. Ukraine will not find a better deal. Zelensky's NATO puppet masters though, will not allow him to negotiate. They want to subjugate Russia. Not going to happen. If this goes on, Russia could end up taking the whole of Ukraine. They can just shutdown the border with Poland and heavily mine it and put up strong defenses in case NATO decides to try and invade Ukraine. If Russia wins this war, terms will be dictated to what is left of the Ukraine top officials. They will have no say at all. Much like the Allied Forces and Russia dictated terms to Germany and the US dictated terms to Japan after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Losers can only beg for mercy.

I am afraid you are sadly mistaken about which side will lose the war in Ukraine.
