How would Russia defend its borders from China
The whole of China is another matter but I do believe a part of eastern Siberia- particularly the Vladivostok region will revert to the Chinese. Both China and Russia know that it originally belonged to China and Russia took it from China as a forced settlement of some conflict.
I am not really up on the history of all the various Opium Wars and the like and cannot articulate it. But China has a grievance there that it will correct if/when Russia becomes sufficiently weakened.
As I said, Eastern Europe/Central Asian Russia is another matter.
