Zelenskyy’s corruption fight continues


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired six deputy defense ministers, part of an ongoing crackdown on alleged corruption in the government. Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov was dismissed two weeks earlier after a procurement scandal. The sackings come as Zelenskyy is in New York, asking the West for more support, and just as Congress plans to debate U.S. President Joe Biden’s request for up to $24 billion more in backing for Ukraine. A firm stance from Kyiv against graft could help that case. Despite the political upheaval, Ukraine made progress on the battlefield, capturing the village of Klishchiivka after months of fighting.

Yep... the NY Times was fed Russian propaganda and failed in their own investigation. Ukraine has no Buk air defense systems in service (western air defense systems are much better) and the Russians have been converting Buk missiles to target Ukrainian cities for many months (since they are nearly useless for air defense).

Clearly an investigation is still open. However this could not a Buk missile as claiming by the NY Times -- it would have to be some other type of air defense missile.

It should be noted that if Russian was not launching missiles at civilians in Ukrainian cities then it would not be necessary to launch air defense missiles. These type of potential tragedies could be avoided if the war criminal Russians stopped deliberately attacking civilians in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian war has left Russians’ morale low and the country has run out of anti-depressants to treat the condition.

Russians’ usage of Prozac, an anti-depressant drug, rose by 63 per cent in 2022 as the population struggled to cope with the mental toll of the conflict.

However now supplies are running extremely low, with only four of 2,400 pharmacies in Moscow selling the drug, according to RBC, a Russian news outlet.

Meanwhile, in St Petersburg the situation remains just as dire, with only two out of 1,300 pharmacies stocking Prozac.

Russia’s supply of the drug ran out in June after sanctions were introduced.

“Experts attribute the increase in sales of antidepressants in general to the anxiety of Russians due to the news and economic background, the special military operation in Ukraine and the consequences of sanctions,” said a RBC report.

Putin’s forced mobilisation of Russian men into the war effort has put immense emotional stress on citizens of the country.

Many soldiers have returned maimed, and many have not returned at all.

Prozac is an important medication for people with traumatic brain injuries as well as it considerably improves neuroplastic recovery.
