Can you feel the oppressive power, the crushing advantage the establishment has over Progressives? Our political environment will prevent anything much more than lip service being paid to Progressive policies, as in "Thank you for your vote, now shush"! You know its true. How does it make you feel?

Recruiting efforts for the US military are falling short. Some believe the cause is related to cultural shifts away nationalistic pride caused by Leftist propaganda. Others believe the US military has lost credibility because of "Woke-ism" where the emphasis has shifted away from what you can do for your country to what can you do for transgenderism. .
Amazing the nonsense that comes out of the mouths of vatniks.

You really should educate yourself.
Another clown level post from the resident Russian boot licker.
Everything is normal in Russia.
I'm talking about the apparently unnecessary losses during the botched Afghanistan pullout. The war started in 2001, went through Trump's entire 4 year term, and ended early in Biden's term. Given the time difference, of course there were more losses during Trump's term. At least Biden ended the war.
Further, with promises of college tuition being paid by the government, a significant military recruiting incentive is diminished. This situation weakens NATO and US military readiness and who is our Commander in Chief again? If war comes between US and China, the reason we get defeated (Again in Asia) will be both complacency of both major parties and the US military, Leftist policies, and improper focus of the Biden Administration. Competence matters.
You are a Progressive, correct? How do you feel about the campaign fundraising advantages the Democrats have because of their "Special" relationships with big business and the media? Yes, the same can be said about Republicans, although their influence is waning. Can you feel the oppressive power, the crushing advantage the establishment has over Progressives? Our political environment will prevent anything much more than lip service being paid to Progressive policies, as in "Thank you for your vote, now shush"! You know its true. How does it make you feel? Most of us who are not politicians, lobbyists, or CEOs are not represented by our Government, whether we may be Liberal or Conservative. You can see this, right?
Our, yes OUR battle is fundamentally against the establishment. Politicians know this and often campaign accordingly. Trump based his campaign on "Us versus the Establishment". The difference between Trump and other politicians is that Trump actually challenged the establishment. Trump followed through with his most fundamental campaign promise. You know its true because the establishment as struck back with impeachments, lawsuits, and criminal charges against Trump while corruption and criminality of establishment politicians tends to not be significantly challenged.
Biden is an establishment politician whose policies serve mainly large campaign contributors versus Trump whose policies are more balanced. Establishment politics is ultimately about power and money. Unfortunately, too many people forget this and believe too much what establishment politicians or their media mouthpieces say, including you.
IMO it ain't wokeism but low unemployment/strong economy that is affecting military recruitment most.
Yeah, those trillions in tax cuts for the rich and deregulation for big business makes Trump more balanced![]()
Recruiting efforts fall short? Tell us, what new wars are you guys planning on either starting or engaging in?
Both the Biden and Obama Administrations used or are using regulations, including tax codes as a political tool to redistribute wealth from the productive to the less or non productive. Less or non productive includes campaign contributions, to a certain extent. I say to a certain extent because it is known that lobbying has a very high return on investment. More so than almost any other form of capital investment.
A system that becomes based on who you know versus what you do is structurally headed for failure. If Trump was not elected when he was, the continuation of Obama policies may have caused lasting economic hardship. Businesses were afraid to invest during Obama's Presidency because of regulatory uncertainty. The Federal Reserve had to expand the balance sheet by 4 trillion dollars and adopt a zero interest rate policy, among other extraordinary measures. But Bush? Yes we were headed down during towards the end of his term, in part through policy established during the Clinton Administration related to loosened mortgage underwriting standards.
The economic challenge during the Obama Presidency was the historically tepid recovery after the Great Recession. The fear of investment is what I'm talking about. At least Biden has been better than Obama in that regard, perhaps some lessons were learned, but "Pay to play" will ultimately result in a less competition, more cronyism, and higher inflation. Again, who feels inflation the most? Yes, those on fixed income and the working class, many of whom are part the Democrat base.
How about this idea: Businesses should be regulated such that bad ethics are disincentivized while maintaining an environment that is favorable for investment. Nah, our current political system seems to thrive on disfunction. For a while, anyway.
As Russia may find out with their war in Ukraine, that economic base ultimately dictates military capability, we may find out in a possible future war against China. The US lost in Asia in the 1970's with the economic and military advantage. What do you think happens in Asia if we lose both? Competence matters. Ethics matters. Culture matters. Policy matters. Voting decisions matter.
