I bet families of tens of thousands wounded and killed ukrainian soldiers in recent ukrainian "counteroffensive" , when they "liberated" 2 villages with 3 houses each and lost most western tanks they got, his main base

You do love pushing Russian propaganda. Maybe you should take a closer look at the picture and identify the vehicles.

The Kremlin has not confirmed Putin's visit to Turkey. Vlad's paranoia may cause a change in plans.

Allegedly, Putin is going to discuss an extension of the Black Sea Grain Deal, a prisoner swap, and options for ending the war. Erdogan has already met with Zelensky. So, in general, I think Putin should be left alone while he is there if he goes. I don't mind giving the enemy safe passage to negotiate.

Most likely Vlad does not want to go- for a number of survival reasons- but the Chinese are putting pressure on him to meet with the various persons/countries that are offering to negotiate settlement of issues. The west/Americans know that Erdogan is a snake but they are willing to let him look ballsy and get credit for some things in return for his approval of Sweden entering Nato.

I would rather see Putin meeting with Erdogan the Snake than with Macron.

Macron…

Poland is the country that got "on the right side of history" early and persistently in this whole mess. There is a reshuffling of power in Europe too not just Central Asia as a result of the war.

Boris and Macron played a lot of games with Ukraine mostly to try to bolster their political problems at home. And Germany was slow from the get go, seemed to finally get a clue, and now has been dithering for months again about what to do with that small clue they got.

Poland is going to replace Germany in the post war shuffle. Not much of a prediction there, since they already have. Quite a few of those European countries are lost in space. Poland is not.

There was a time when Macron was visiting Putin every month because he fancied himself as Merkel's replacement in the EU and because he thought the peacemaker role would get him votes in his election. But Macron's/France's actual contribution to the war effort is a complete and total frigging joke. TOTAL.

One can argue that Poland has stepped up more because they are the first line of defense beyond Ukraine- but if the French and Germans would study their history a bit they would worry more about enemy troops on their soil as well. And even Britains former defense minister/top military dog or the like said that the UK could only hold off the Russians for a week with their current pathetic military. Boris gave away all sorts of arms to be a hero and to detract from Partygate, knowing that he had the Americans to back him up when the cupboard was empty. Who backs us up?

ANDREW NEIL: The Poles are rearming at a breathtaking rate and are now Europe's rising power. Let's embrace Warsaw - over Paris and Berlin
