Despite all the rumors and speculation about Vlad's health, I do think we are finally getting inside information about what's what with Vlad. You follow, I am sure, that that very senior insider security guy that Putin has had for years - who accompanied him everywhere- has defected and is talking.
Anyway. The bottom line seems to be that Vlad's physical health history has been very good. The defector says he has only seen Putin cancel a trip- out of many hundreds- due to illness - about two or three times over the years. So, all the speculation about his physical health seems to be totally unjustified.
But the other part of the picture is that he confirms that Vlad's mental health and paranoia are much worse than many think. Much worse. And he cites all the ways that plays out that I cannot get into right now, but the usual pre-Berlin Bunker mentality. He also says/confirms that Vlad gets all his news from two or three people around him and only watches Russian tv news and insists that he have access to it every day when he travels.
So for Vlad's physical health we are going to give him an A or an A-.
And for his mental health, well, let's just say that he needs to take up yoga or start watching Laverne and Shirley reruns or something. The insider guy says he is really getting nutty, and this is from a guy who traveled with him every day, not some article from the Daily Beast or something.
