Have you ever considered getting treatment for this addiction? There is hope for recovery for all addicts, no matter what their drug of choice is.

Many people who are addicts laugh at the thought of themselves having a mental disorder when it is brought to their attention.
This laughing off the claims is just another defense mechanism.
Something Rush would likely have done if asked a year ago if he was a drug addict. I can picture his responding exactly as you did with your comments.
