I think if you're a high profile pro athlete, you'd better make very sure you get your facts straight before you get up in a huff and accuse someone of racism. Rush made the comments on Monday and McNabb didn't say anything for a couple of days, so I find it hard to believe he was just responding to what some writer told him.
I'm sure McNabb will now be a big hero to the lib's, as he apparently has done what they have failed to do for years, namely taint Rush as a racist. But he won't be getting any apologies from me either.
I admit that I am thrilled that Rush got promoted to prime time and blew it that fast. He has always been a right wing neo-republican example of trailer trash.
Obviously there are big mouth (daily posting) exceptions, but most profitable traders I know are cool liberals. They don't say much, don't post much, but make lots of money and are relaxed.
As I am typing this I am delighting, laughing, and smiling at the thought of all the idiot right wingers belly aching about liberals and defending Rush and Bush.
Think about it, all the traders I know who are really good, I mean REALLY GOOD, are liberals.

Besides I honestly don't think he said anything wrong...he has an opinion and that opinion may in fact be right...IF HIS OPINION IS CORRECT does it make it less controversial???
as Gordon said, everyone makes mistakes, and who cares what victimless activities someone pursues in the privacy of his home?
but Rush cares - he's used his position of influence, his media access to act as spokesman for the policy of conviction of drug users. he has actively furthered that policy and influenced people's opinions. if the allegations are accurate, it seems only fair that he should abide by the same policy he promotes for others.
if it was an opponent of rush's and got busted, Rush would want the book thrown at him!!!!!!!

that's the problem with conservatives like GWB, rush, and for that matter, any politician, like ted kennedy - they think that these things don't apply to them, just to john q. public.
personally, i find it really annoying when it comes out of the mouth of the religious right types, like GWB.
