Rumor: Spain will ask for 280 billion euros of aid money

Quote from gastropod:

Are there aliens on the asteroid that will buy? What kind of market is available on the asteroid? Can we negotiate with the asteroid, so it doesn't hit us? What time Friday? (I want to be able to pull out of the market at the right time on Friday.) Oh forget it!!!! This has already been priced into the markets...wait...does the asteroid meet expectations or does it exceed whisper numbers? Boy, I am REALLY getting confused...does the asteroid know we are in the middle of a recovery? Can the asteroid wait until next quarter, because this won't make Q1 numbers?

Thanks,
gastropod

gastropod, I noticed your previous post. Don't worry about the fundamentals of the asteroid...just trade the momentum of the market as it reacts to the asteroid.

Best,
gastropod

I've called the people controlling the asteroid and told them that next quarter would be more convenient.

You just bought the earth a few months, Gastropod.

no comparison since Spain's financial situation is known to be poor and deteriorating.
too bad u can't tell the difference between the two statements.

squawk squawk blah blah... (ivanovitch..)

The amazing thing about the PIGS, excluding Greece, is the lack of a risk premium with their sovereign debt. Spain 4%, Portugal 4.50% etc...

Yeah, only old school traders are looking for something "ordinary" like a "risk premium". In a world dominated by efficient markets and automated trading everything is just "all right"...:)

Spanish Prime Minister denies rumour. So does IMF. Leads me to believe there must be some truth in it or else why deny it?
