Rule of 10 Journal

This is a webbased futures chart, showing the same medium line, saying it is an MA (green line). I put 2 dots where the last 2 FMBs happened:

The next short entry would be 83.5...

Edit: 83.25 I guess

Quote from smilingsynic:

For the record, the NQ declined a little over 100 points from the recent swing high (1977.25 to 1876.5). Long in the upper 70's, with a stop at breakeven and a target of 1925.

(trade disregarded, blah, blah, blah. Oh, yeah, wrong board!)

As I made it clear on the ES board, I do not use the rule of 10 intraday, but have little doubt that markets often make moves in multiples of 10 (esp 50 and 100, and higher in the Dow).

Out half at 1903 (right under yesterday's high), and for the rest, the stop moved to 87.50 (under yesterday's and today's low), holding for 1925.

I'll help you out here....I'll stop posting in this journal. R10 is not a technique I trade with. Nor do I use moving averages.

That said, I don't think it can be said too many times....there is an inherent conflict between the R10 methodology and moving averages. And there has been nothing said in this thread that has explained away that conflict.

Good luck to those trading with this strategy.

Sorry to see you go OldTrader, thanks for the contributions. I'm sure I'll see you on the ES Journal.

I would get out here with almost 3 pts gain, again that Williams long thingy....

So far this week 11.5/8 trades, almost 4 points per day...
