I heard some counter arguments to Rudy's "achievements."
Seems that the crime rate dropped nation wide during Rudy's term, and that the crime rate drop in NYC wasn't that much beyond the national average where it leveled off, if I head it right, at least that what Geraldine Ferraro was saying.
Ferraro was giving more credit to that other Republican mayor of New York...Michael Bloomberg for the good things that happened once he was on board as mayor. Imagine, Ferraro giving credit to a Republican...
Also, during the Clinton years (Much of Rudy's time as mayor) there was a lot done in welfare reform, and don't you know it, that there were a lot of jobs being created during that time frame...could it be that Rudy was just riding the Clinton wave of prosperity for all Americans, not just the wealthy ones?
Huh, go figure...

Uhhhh, why are "something like 95%" (quoting you of course, wouldn't it be nice if you actually provided some data to back up your claims, or quoted someone on the issue?) of homeless drug addicts and boozers?
Oh yeah, they are just weak and lazy, right? It is not like they have some mental illness, no way, no how...Heaven forbid we ask a mental health professional their opinions or what their research has found...
Too funny.
Quote from Brandonf:
Aside from children something like 95% plus of homeless people are drug addicts and or boozers. So, maybe if someone finds himself homeless he should look hard in the mirror and stop bitching about everyone always picking on me and work on his problems.
