I have not put much thought into this but lets pretend he did something wrong is then under oath to tell the truth but decides to lie...
He then gets convicted and goes to prison.
Joe then leaves office in 2024...he'll most likely pardon his son Hunter after what we've seen Trump give pardons to Stone / Flynn and possibly "pending" pardon to his own family members.
By the way, I don't know the rules for a pardon as in if its possible to pardon a family member before they're convicted of a crime.
