Diseases that have a vaccine have a greatly reduced impact on society since many people voluntarily take the vaccine. This both reduces community spread and the likelihood the vaccinated individuals will have a serious case of the disease which requires hospital resources.

Well if this virus is a serious as some people think then hopefully the vaccine(s) will work and the virus will not mutate each year. IF the whole planet has to be vaccinated against it's will every year that will be a problem, not to mention that a lot of people will be allergic to the vaccine.
