Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) was given the difficult task of delivering the GOP rebuttal to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday.
As the up-and-coming senator attempted to counter the president's message, he appeared to grow increasingly uncomfortable, wiping his mouth and licking his lips on a number of occasions. Apparently unable to wait until the end of his address to satiate his thirst, Rubio reached for his small bottle of Poland Springs water mid-speech.

Marco Rubioâs drinking problem
Twitter exploded during Sen. Marco Rubioâs Republican response to the State of the Union, as the Florida senator appeared a little sweaty and dry-mouthed at mid-speech, taking an awkward swig from a bottle of water that had been placed off-camera. Rubio handled the hullabaloo with some humor, later tweeting a picture of the water bottle.
