Roy Moore in Alabama looking like hes going to be a lunatic.

Wasnt Roy Moore a judge at one point? I agree with Bannons attempt at burning down the establishment, but there was a reason why the money wasnt willing to back this guy, it doesnt do a damn bit of good to eliminate establishment politicians and replace them with people who are so insane they cant even get elected. He had already made some pretty questionable comments, that i was willing to ignore cause he just seemed like a dumb hick from Alabama, but if this is honestly what this guy thinks there is a very real chance Republicans could lose this race.

Now there is conservatives on twitter shitting all over him, and they arent even just establishment hacks. Someone better reign this guy in pretty quick, or there is a possibility of losing Alabama which would be a total disaster.

Roy Moore Quotes from Time on the flag protests:

From TIME:

“It’s against the law, you know that?” he said. “It was a act of Congress that every man stand and put their hand over their heart. That’s the law.”

“I back the President in upholding respect for the patriotism for our country, on two grounds,” he said. “One, it’s respect for the law. If we don’t respect the law, what kind of country are we going to have? Two, it’s respect for those who have fallen and given the ultimate sacrifice. I’m surprised that no one brought this up.”

“If they didn’t have it in there, it would just be tradition. But this is law,” he said. “If we disobey this, what else are we going to disobey?

From BBC.com:

US President Donald Trump has criticised NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest at what they perceive as racial injustice.

He calls it "disrespecting the flag" but supporters of the protest believe the players are exercising their right to free speech.

But there is a breach of etiquette here enshrined in law.

The Flag Code covers all aspects of etiquette in relation to the Stars and Stripes, including how to behave when the anthem is played. The code is never enforced, however, and there is no punishment for breaching it.

So what should you do when the national anthem is played?
The code states that persons present are expected to stand and face the flag, if there is one. Civilians should stand to attention with right hand over heart, while military personnel in uniform and veterans should salute throughout. A recent amendment to the code said that military personnel out of uniform could also salute.

President Barack Obama famously neglected to put his hand over his heart during the 2008 election campaign. He explained his mistake by saying his grandfather taught him to do this only during the pledge, and to only sing during the anthem.

§171. Conduct during playing
During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.

Man to bring up some obscure law like that and claim its illegal is just dumb imo your not going to convert anyone in the middle, i saw him getting mocked on a conservative site "Twitchy" on this one. We dont need to put people in on the right who are lunatics like Maxine Waters, or Frederica Wilson, or Nancy Pelosi, that shouldnt be the response.

This is the first time in years where conservatives have the upper hands on many of these social issues opinion polls, and we arent the ones getting judged as the nuts jobs, because the left has went so far off the deepend, let the left continue to hang themselves.........

Saying it should be illegal to not stand for the anthem sounds like something out of North Korea, thats the only way the right can lose this argument, this is the kind of stupid shit that thinking that shifts opinions.

Look, I get it, but I am tired of this crap where if a RINO is running,we are all supposed to just shut up and vote for him because otherwise the dems might take control of the Senate and then Mitch McConnell would not be able to do all the stuff he promised and has never lifted a finger to enact. But if someone like Judge Moore is running, then all bets are off. The Kasiches and Kristols and their crowd sniff their noses and announce they can't possibly support someone like that. They did it with Trump. They did it with Tea Party candidates. Maybe they weren't perfect. Neither is John McCain or Lindsey Graham or McConnell.

This is a version of the republican circular firing squad. They actually want Judge Moore to lose, just like they wanted Trump to lose, so they can say, you idiots, do not make that mistake again. Screw that. We're done with them.

I hear ya man, but there is no point to shoot off our own dick to spite our face, it appears this Roy Moore guy was a horrendous human being and on top of that an idiot, he seems like the "Christine O'Donnell" of politics. If we elect people like that we will lose the senate. I dont think Bannon is a dumb person, in fact i think he is highly intelligent, and if anything McConnell and the rest have self preservation in mind, so hopefully the message is sent now, and McConnell gets it.

But killing ourselves here for no reason seems like an excercise in futility.

Let the left keep on telling people to kneel and shit on the flag, let the left say that men should be able to go into girls dressing rooms, let the left say that people should be forced to cater weddings against religious beliefs, let them keep attempting to infringe on peoples rights, the response from the right should be to let them keep pushing further, they arent winning these arguments and they WONT win these arguments, there is no reason to create a circular firing squad and go just as crazy on the right.

I hope McConnell got the message, that they are all up for grabs, but i hope Bannon is a hell of a lot more selective with who he chooses to back from this point out, because this guy Roy Moore, is now tied in Alabama, we will win there, but if he does that anywhere else where its closer we are just going to give up seats, im hoping this was just a shot across the bow, and that the establishment now realises this is no longer the neocons party.

Maybe Bannon had a grand plan here and realised we couldnt lose Alabama, so that is why he stood his ground there, he was trying to send his message but if that happens somewhere close its going to be a guaranteed anti trumper.

The only chance i see at Obamacare repeal is if republicans hold the house in 2018 and pick up a couple senate seats then its definitely doable, so if you have to bandaid it for now and hope for 2 more senators in 2018 on a favorable map, it doesnt seem like a bad plan to atleast hold on too it until then.

Trump will more than likely lose in 2020, and he will most definitely lose control of atleast 1 chamber by then, so there is really only one shot to get alot of what conservatives want done and thats by picking up a couple more senators in 2018 and holding the house.

I don't have a problem with a Judge being a serious about all laws.
Unless its time for jury nullification... arguably he is doing his job as a non liberal judge to take laws and codes seriously as long as they don't conflict with constitutional rights. (by the way... that law may. )

I have to admit I was concerned that Bannon may have put in a big effort and yet not win the seat against the democrat...

But, I had my suspicions about that recent fox news poll.

I wonder if it was a fake poll.

Just days after a Fox News poll showed the U.S. Senate race between Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones tied, a new Raycom News Network poll released Thursday tells a different story.
The poll, conducted by Strategy Research, give Moore an 11-point advantage over Jones, his biggest lead yet.

According to Birmingham WBRC6’s Rick Journey, the poll shows a 51-40 percent split.

“The survey of 3,000 likely Alabama voters finds Moore receiving 51% support to 40% for Jones,” Journey wrote. “Nine percent remain undecided in the exclusive poll conducted on Monday.”

Early polls conducted days after Moore defeated Luther Strange in a GOP primary runoff had the contest at six and eight points. Strategy Research’s Jon Gray said Jones might have an even more substantial hurdle to overcome than this poll indicates.

“I think the challenge for the Jones campaign is bigger than what these numbers show,” Gray said to WBRC’s Journey. “Even if he were able to close the gap, how do you turn out Democrats in a state that hasn’t had a viable Democratic Party in almost a dozen years?”

The election to fill the seat formerly held by Jeff Sessions will be held on December 12.

Like i said earlier, i have no doubt in my mind that republicans will win this one, but the simple fact there was even polls showing it close shows how crazy this guy is, no doubt the clowns at CNN will blast this comment and others hes made non stop to try to swing it, but there is no way a democrat will win in Alabama.

The point i was making is that if Bannon indescriminately eliminates establishment republicans in states that are closer, republicans are going to lose seats, the only real shot at obamacare repeal is to hold the house and gain 2 senate seats in 2018, something that is very doable with a favourable election year, so burning the house down doesnt seem like a good idea just yet.

After 2018 if republicans dont get shit done with more senators and the house and the presidency then i say fuck it lets break out the matches and gasoline and torch this piece of shit. :D

My hope is that Bannon thought this one through and was trying to send a message in a state where republicans cant lose, but if he does this all over and nutsjobs keep getting nominated its only going to cost republicans seats.

Have you guys even considered in some ways a democrat congress is good for Trump and Bannon.

Getting eatablishment republicans out of congress benefits Trump and Bannon for so many reasons. If establiments are replaced by idiots, like Moore, who will support dumb ideas like national religion and ant immigration legislation, or democrats that will support things like infrastructure and, believe it or not, universal healthcare they win on both sides. Getting any of those things is hard with establishment republicans.

Bannon is not opposed to taxing the rich and spending on social programs. His main thing is nationalism (mixed with racism) from an anti globalism perspective and anti immigration.

A lot of republicans don’t know where the train they’re riding is going.
