to be fair whether the stuff on that website is true or not they have funded pretty much most of the wars for the last two hundred years. isn't that bad enough.

lol no they didn't look. to see a perfect example of the kind of people who believe the shit you are spewing just look at the crackpot above...

"funded all the wars" is more than ambiguous. if by "funding all the wars" you mean making investments in sovereign debt, then yes they did... but by that rationale, anyone who has bought any usa bonds has "funded the war in iraq" that would mean china as well as a number of arab nations funded the iraqi war... see how twisted this logic is? i think you are better than falling for such crap...

it is well known that they helped to get funding specifically for wars. the napoleonic wars. it was a specific fund it was not a general sovereign fund. some people say they made money some say they lost money they did however directly find funds for the war and no other cause they were originally war bond traders.

quote

The basis for the Rothschild fortune was laid during the latter stages of the Napoleonic Wars. From 1813 to 1815, Nathan Mayer Rothschild in London was instrumental in the financing of the British war effort, handling the shipment of bullion to the Duke of Wellington's army in Portugal and Spain, as well as arranging the payment of British financial subsidies to their Continental allies. Through the commissions earned on these transactions, the Rothschild fortune grew enormously.

end quote

they made there money from commissions from war banking. it was not like buying treasury bonds. it was direct involvement in the shipping of funds and paying of allies amongst other things.

there is speculation as to whether the operations were beneficial to them through what would be considered insider dealing now. regardless they made money from dealing with the financial side of war, which is not something many people would approve of.
