You're partially right. America has been great, but not always. There is a MAGA*. It Represents a dangerous assault on democracy. Much of America's "Greatness" has been the result of circumstance. People are much the same the world over, but circumstances vary widely. Circumstances can change. You have foolishly ignored the dangers the nation faces from without and from within. There was one death to day, and figuratively, perhaps another..

What this demonstrates to me is what I've been saying here for years. The stock market, Wall Street, is completely and totally disconnected from Main Street and has been for years. Think of it this way. Do banks stop doing business because of credit card theft, account theft, identity theft? No, in fact they couldn't care less and make nothing more than a token effort to secure these things. It ain't their problem if your card gets stolen, it's your problem little person. Any loss on their part in all factored in to the cost of doing business and rates are adjusted accordingly.
Same game at the market. You little people can't get along, destroy each other in any way you can, so what, doesn't impact their business at all. Any damages are factored in, prices adjusted, in the end you pay for it all and then some. What happened today has no relationship to what the market will do, none at all.
