The sad part is the second half of the title of the original article:
I can only guess but mostly likely this guy was already depressed or had other issues. This would have been the final straw. Although given the size of the loss it is more like a giant haystack than a straw.
No regulated place would let anyone get into 700K of debt, I think Bucket shops only relate to Forex / Spot trading so there a Options Bucket shop to get around those laws no doubt.
No idea, just speculating, never looked into them.

It is like someone hands a 5 year old a loaded pistol and tells the kid to tries it out, pull the trigger.
He was 20 ?? therefore Adult, therefore his fault, personal responsibility, nobody made him lose 700K and nobody forced him into suicide, he could of just want bankrupt, bring kids up tougher so they don't melt and take the suicide route.

Why ?? Youth of today are brought up the world is perfect and they always win and have no ability to cope with the real world.
My 23year old girl has tried to commit suicide loads of times, many of her mates have succeeded ( I didn't bring her up, wasn't aware till 18, not my fault ), my 11 year old boy, would just improvise adapt and over come brought up tough.
