Quote from Debaser82:
The main idea probably is to debase the currency to make produced goods more atractive for foreigners.
The flaw in this seems to me what if the rest of the world aims for the same route to kickstart their economy. Beggar thy neighbour?
Also it seems to be a bit narrowminded in my view to believe only the currency value is determined as a way to achieve economic (productivity driven) prosperity.
There must be more. [/QUOTE

1000% Correct....
Can make two moves.....
1) Further debase the dollar
2) Raise rates
The US has to position itself to undercut BRIC's prices....
I stated how this is possible....and it is possible....
This is far from vagueness....
To make the statement "establish a manufacturing base " means being able to undercut BRIC....from an entrepreneurial base...based on modest sized companies ....
"Give 'em a fish....they eat for a day"....
"Give them a business" ...."they eat for years"....
Both 1 and 2 above....will not get the US where it needs to go....
I have quoted a meaningful solution....
Which also gives back "freedom" in the US.....
