Most of us want to b left alone, we will leave our neighbor alone as long as u aren't messin will us or our families.

Legalize drugs, and sin tax it.

Legalize prostitution, and lower the aids and drug addiction rates.

Flat tax of 10% of annual income.

Cut government programs that do not show definitive statistical improvment of their target group, like head start.

The right to carry arms. Including assault rifles.

The right to emergency contraceptive, no federal funding. OTC. Performing abortion of a fetus with no readily discernable health risks and a heart beat will b tried in criminal court as voluntary manslaughter.

The right to an education, no federal funding.

The right to start a business, no licensure required. Injury to person or property will b tried under the appropriate criminal statute.

The right to free speech, unless it risks causing immenent physical harm to the subject of the speech.

Gays should b able to serve their country, and b subject to the articles of UCMJ.

Yes I voted for Ron Paul. Here is my ballot to prove it. Why are you so hung up on abortion? It is not a big issue in the Republican arena. Ron Paul is against it, but ulitimately thinks it should be decided by the states, which means an overturn of Roe v Wade. He tells a story when he was in med school in the 60’s and there was an abortion performed where the fetus ended up being delivered alive. It was placed on a table near by and was left to die there. He was amazed at the total lack of emotion by everybody in the room. They all just ignored the fact that a human life was dying next to them.

I don’t know what you’re trying to accomplish by continuously reminding everybody that he is a Republican. There is a reason less than 10% of people under 30 are traditional Republicans, they offer very little. When Ron Paul starts explaining why prices keep going up and up and you don’t get a raise at work, that resonates with us. We like it when he doesn’t talk like a typical neo con Republican who wants to bomb everybody. I remember in one of the debates the story of when that Iranian boat started circling around a US Navy ship. Everybody else started their war mongering talk and he said let’s hold off a minute. We have one little incident and we don’t even know if it was with Iran and all you guys are ready to go to war over it. That’s how Vietnam started. The whole stage laughed at him. Well I cheered him. It’s funny how the Christian right is so pro war, yet Jesus came as a peacemaker.

I disagree with him on some things. I don’t necessarily think the unregulated free market is always the best thing. I don’t know why he didn’t vote for the recent credit card bill. But overall there is no doubt that he is the best choice for young people.

I hear this a lot, mostly from people who just like to find reasons to hate the government. Libertarians have this, I believe flawed, logic that we can just let everybody do whatever they want and if they abuse that, well we’ll just sue them or prosecute them and they’ll pay for their actions. That’s like saying we should let car companies build cheap crappy cars that crumble in a crash because if someone dies, well we can just sue them and send them to jail. Well don’t you think that’s a little messed up? Will that money bring back the life that was lost? Libertarians love to talk about the free market, but are strangely silent when it comes to solutions for the victims of Bernie Madoff. Don’t you know that the lack of oversight is exactly what leads to people being victimized like that? The government is far from perfect, but a little oversight is good for the consumer.

Believe me, after working in restaurants for years, you should be thankful there is at least some regulation. How many times do you hear about food poisoning or a building collapsing? Do you really trust your fellow man to do what’s in your best interest out of the goodness of their heart? People do what’s in their best interest. If that means cutting some corners while building a house, then they’ll do that. My advice to you next time you go to a restaurant is to just eat the food in front of you and not worry about how it got there. Maybe they washed their hands, maybe they didn’t, but at least the health inspector goes there for 15 minutes every couple of months. Oh and the next time the waiter tells you what the special of the day is, think twice. It might have just been the leftovers from last that didn’t sell.
