Lulu, I think paj was referring to Angrycat. The time for you to stop assembling model airplanes and savoring their fresh fragrance is now. I think you may have underestimated the virtues of adequate ventilation.
How is this different than healthcare? If one does not like the way healthcare is run, one votes for different representation.
And your statement "Everyone benefits from the military funding" is laughable. In theory I suppose it's true, being that it "protects the citizens from external threat", but in reality it doesn't benefit everyone...
So you would suggest that people unable to pay for private insurance give up TV, give up cell phones, give up internet, give up fast food, give up beer, and give up nice clothing just so they can afford healthcare?! Who wants to live like that?!
In Canada, I have all those things PLUS I receive good healthcare, and I am by no means a rich man. My point is, you can have the best of both worlds under a new healthcare system.
You are damn right I would suggest people that want health insurance pay for it first before they go off and buy beer and cigarettes and then beg for tax funded insurance because they think they cant afford it themselves.
And if people do not want health insurance they live with the consequences.
