Ron Paul Is the Tin Cup Of Conservatism

Quote from Max E. Pad:

I love how you live on the top of a mountain that looks over the entire city...... I cant help but get the picture of Mr. Burns plotting from his castle as he looks over the whole city..... :D

Congratulations, looks like a sweet place!!

Thanks Max. I got lucky on a couple of flips right at the market peak and rolled that monopoly money into this place.

I actually saw it from the air years ago when I was flight training. I remember circling above it and saying out loud "what in the hell is *that*?". When I was ready to move back to SoCal from Chicago after a stint at Citadel I typed "helipad" into the Realtor.com search engine just for fun and the house popped up. I couldn't believe it was the place that I had been admiring for so long. In a sense I was lucky enough to buy my dream home.

So when you were building on a mountain, did you have to deal with all kinds of beaurecratic B.S. and red tape from the city/state? Here is an example of what i mean from Adam Carolla.
(listen to the whole video its worth it, it gets real good at about 3 minutes....:D )

Adam Carolla From the video: Try building something in California, and you will quickly go from Janeane Garofalo to Ruby Ridge.... :D

Quote from 377OHMS:

I don't blame you. I find I have to use the ignore list sometimes too. I usually use it when someone exhibits such rabid hostility towards me that I know there isn't a point to interacting with them any longer.

In this case you seem to have used it because you are unable to respond to inquiries about your life accomplishments. Fair enough but it likely leaves people thinking that you haven't done much in your life.

Perhaps someone will quote this post so you can see it. Cyas! :D

The houses (there is a guesthouse and a main house) were built in 1966. I bought in 2006 and I've built 3 structures. Two of them were under 120 sq-ft so no permit required. The garage complex is large and it was a major hassle getting the permits because there are "precarious rock formations" on the property so they really put me through the wringer and basically told me where I had to put the garage, I couldn't decide for myself.

Finally I just caved and built where they told me to and paid all of the fees. It took 3 years to get the permits.

Quote from rew:

So Jake Jones, aka americanhero, who has said that he contributes regularly to AIPAC, is not a hard core Zionist? And given Trader666's keenness to see America fight a war for Israel I'd say he's a Zionist too. Although not as hard core as Jake Jones. And no, there isn't going to be another holocaust. Do you really believe that Iran is willing to see Tehran, Hamadan, Bushehr, etc. turned into radioactive glass just so they can have the satisfaction of murdering a bunch of Jews while dropping fallout on Palestinians? It is not conceivable that Iran or its proxies could nuke Israel without Iran suffering the severest of penalties.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him. Yeah, I don't know, he may be something like a shill but would AIPAC hire somebody who is barely literate?

I'm inclined to think he is an alias, somebody posing but I'm not sure.

Fwiw I always put Jake on ignore (right now he is AmericanHero, something like that) as soon as he shows up.

I think you've got me wrong. I grew up in LA and so I've had jewish friends all of my life which makes me sympathetic towards them. None of my jewish friends knew their grandparents because they all died in the holocaust. Can you imagine not ever knowing your grandparents?

I know T666 and I don't think he is a zionist but just someone who doesn't dig Iran developing nuclear weapons and threatening a neighbor.

I think Iran threatens Israel as some kind of distraction from their own internal problems. The population of Iran doesn't like the theocracy and damned near revolted recently. One way to deflect from that kind of problem is to gin up a common enemy. It is also effective in getting support from other muslim countries. Israel is a handy ready-made enemy for both of those purposes.

I also do not believe Iran would really nuke Israel. The problem is that Israel is so small and densely populated that they cannot live with a permanent Sword of Damocles hanging over them. Iran has made real attacks on Israel via proxy with Hamas and Hezbollah so there is enough of a credible threat there that they cannot take any chances.

Anyway, you are right about Jake and you got me on that one.

So you call anyone who doesn't want Iran to have nuclear weapons a "hard core Zionist"? Most of the civilized world doesn't want Iran to have them either and has sanctions against them. Are they all "hard core Zionists" and "AIPAC whores"?
Quote from rew:

Well, I shouldn't post when I'm tired. I meant, of course, that we keep threatening to attack Iran. We've been doing this for years. Remember McCain's promise to "Bomb, bomb Iran?". That was four years ago. We haven't bombed Iran yet and somehow the world hasn't come to an end. And of course you, a hard core Zionist, will call anyone an anti-Semite who doesn't want his country to send its citizens to fight and die for Israel, and is tired of the AIPAC lobby insisting that we do just that. In my opinion, the defense of Israel is up to Israel. We don't even have a defense treaty with them.

Where have I said we should "fight a war for Israel"? What I've said is that anything we fight should meet the tests of the Powell Doctrine. Remember me citing that for you several times in the past? But don't let facts get in the way of your antisemitic "thinking." BTW... so far, it looks like Israel's fighting this for us.

Speaking of being a bore with nothing to say, have you read any of your own posts after you vomit them out?

Of course it means something. It shows the kind of nutcase that your geriatric kook messiah attracts. The guy who runs Ron Paul's Super PAC is a 9/11 truther whose parents had on meds for 10 years. You're another example.
Quote from Optional:

You are such a bore dude...nothing to say...why do you keep mentioning this SuperPac guy...? You seem obsessed with this ridiculous point which means nothing...

Exactly.
