He had the highest rating on the MSNBC internet poll after the debate on Thursday. The mainstream media doesn't consider him a 1st tier candidate, which is suspicious. It appears to me he has a solid following among people active on the net. He is popular on Youtube also. I have watched him interrogate Greenspan and Bernanke during Congressional testimonies. He seems very solid. I like this guy.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
 
Of course that is his record. The guy is a libertarian running as a republican. You gotta love libertarians. I've been hoping for a bit of a break away from the 2-party system for some time. The more guys like this that we get, the better the chances of that actually happening.
 
And the rest claim they're Republican but really, just Moderate Statists!

Paul is the ONLY candidate that represents minimal Government, minimal tax and maximum freedom -- the same platform our Founders ran on and died for.

These "Neo Republicans" represent the polar opposite - Big Government, Big Tax (largely via rampant inflation by Fed money creation) and eroding civil rights.

I disagree.

Paul represents the TRUTH.

Americans CRAVE it.

And the establishment favorites REFUSE to discuss it.

I am talking about the REAL ISSUES the establishment candidates will not discuss or even mention:

- Rampant IRS taxation and power
- A bloated, parasitic Federal Government
- Hugely abusive and wasteful foreign policy
- Unchecked Government power and the erosion of our Constitutional Rights.
- Rapid Destruction of our dollars value via wild Fed money creation.
- STRONG BORDERS.
- etc.


Those are the real issues Americans want addressed.

Paul has even discussed the real risk of moving forward with his candidacy. if they have the nerve to physically hurt him it will back fire on them ten fold. YouTube will be a great friend to Ron in the coming months. the "old media" has already latched on to Mitt as their front runner but this will bring on the Mormon issue and satanic pentagrams on churches doesn't play well in red states. gonna be interesting for sure.

the other boobs are truly embarrassing. how many times is guiliani gonna put on a dress and kiss other men??? look for fred thompson to join the mix... but he too is a fake conservative.

Good family values

Believes in limited government in our lives. Other Republicans say that they believe in this, but it seems with things like the Patriot Act and National ID they are doing the opposite.

I think the fact that he is so solid, and does truley believe in limited government scares the crap out of the New World Order folks. This may be why the media isn't focusing on him. They don't want Joe six pack to figure out that Paul would represent what is best for him. I will watch for the character assasination attempts to be launched if it appears he is moving forward.

Dream on. Sure, everybody says the government should be smaller. Then ask them about one of their favorites (and most voters have one or more). Can't cut that one, they'll tell you.

Strong borders? The left sees more voters and the right cheap labor.

Erosion of rights? The left thinks that certain thoughts should be illegal and your land belongs to the government (ala Kelo), and the right thinks . . .it's too depressing to continue this line of thinking.

Fact is, we've gotten this massive government because we wanted it. People gripe about their particular focused issue, but they do not want to change the grand scheme. For instance, the libertarians go to a meeting of folks who want to legalize pot. They say "People should be able to smoke whatever they want!" And the audience cheers! Then they say "The Constitution of the United States of America says that people can own guns!" And they get booed.

Then they go to an NRA rally and say the same things. The audience there boos the smoke statement and cheers the gun ownership one.

Everybody likes their little bit of freedom they want, but they refuse to let anybody else have a different one. That's why the libertarian party will never succeed. American voters love to tell other Americans what they can and cannot do. And it's only going to get worse, no society has voted itself free, but countless ones have voted themselves enslaved.

People are idiots.
