Pabst makes a good point with ethnic effluence degrading quality of life.

In Canada, the immigrant centers such as Toronto are turning into Detroit and Oakland gang-lands.

That's because of the liberal Canadian refugee program. Allowing Haitians, Jamaicans, Somalians, Sudanese, Angolans etc. to settle in these urban areas was a grave mistake which will eventually destroy Canada's high standard of living.

These non-productive people not only get fantastic subsidies, but their children are now uniformly unproductive criminal gang members.

However, not all browns and blacks are alike. The children of Ethnic Chinese and South Asians seem to uniformly excel and become productive tax payers.

That is simply NOT true. Ron Paul is a lone voice in congress and votes consistently against tax increases and anything unconstitutional.

And I agree that he is not the best speaker but he's the best that is out there talking about these issues. You should read his writing it is much better.

And to say he never talks about a solution is misleading as well. His solution is smaller government. He's also a proponent of the gold standard. The gold standard does not allow the government to just print money at will. That is where it becomes a powerful idea. Check out the history of deficit spending and you will see that after the gold standard was 100% completely abolished in 1971 deficit spending exploded.

the move away from the Gold Standard is actually what prompted Dr. Paul to go into politics. To CHANGE it...

Dr. Paul has been the chamption of the Constitution.

He voted against the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, and every unbalanced budget.

Everyone else in the gang of 535 is a lemming...Dr. Paul is the MAN...

My point is this- saying that you want smaller government is like saying you want rainbows every day. It's just too broad. I'm really not trying to pick a fight here, but as long as we agree that he is the lone voice on this movement, then I think we are entitled to a better voice. His writing IS better, but if this movement is so important to him, why hasn't he found another, more articulate person to stand out front? We agree that these ideas would benefit all of us in a profound way. As it stands right now, this movement, with Dr Paul as it's leader only benefits Dr Paul.

I am still awaiting you to say the first thing even remotely demonstrating a serious dab of intelligence.

Let's start with you demonstrating what is wrong with what I said. I know that facts have much less relevance that opinion does to you.

Take your "government propaganda strap-on" and prove this out of my posts. Write a convincing argument that shows you aren't just a flatulent turd-for-brains. I am sure you would never post anything that you couldn't seriously back up.

Perhaps you disagree with statistics, and instead think what operates inside your walnut size brain is more accurate???

I'm not trying to start a fight either. And I can see your point that the "movement" that started last year with his presidential campaign will only benefit Dr.Paul if there is no lasting change. However, what about his other 20 years in congress where he was fighting the same fight and delivering the same message. Did his message benefit him then? What about the fact that he refuses to accept the raise that congress voted for themselves in the mid 90's and he returns it to the treasury every year. Do you really think he's only out for himself?

I've been thinking quite a bit about the lack of more or better spokesman for the "movement". One problem is that the system is so broken at this point in history that incentives only exist to exploit the system. Accordingly, people looking for that type of opportunity are the only people that are in politics today. There are more politicians jumping on the Ron Paul bandwagon now since they have seen that there is support for the message. I only hope that the message is strong enough for them to overcome the temptations to exploit the system if they ever succeed in winning office.

I gave generously to Ron Pauls Campaign starting in June of last year when I saw the momentum (in fund raising) building. But then I witnessed the media constantly belittling him and tearing him apart even as he led the republican field in fund raising for the 4th Quarter.

I suspect a lot of high profile libertarian minded people are entrepreneurs who also are not interested in wasting a small fortune to fight an uphill battle.

And the biggest challenge may just be the libertarian mindset of wanting to mind your own business. The independent mindset is not attracted to joining forces with others. Or maybe that last one is just me.
