Hmmm...I been here a while.

Don't think I've ever seen a thread moved from P&R to Economics.
I requested "Baron" and other moderators to move this thread back to economics because this is 100% about economy. If the airlines shut down or downsize the economy will be directly affected. Remember the days after 9/11 attacks.

Also Ron Paul is highly respected and more popular than Obama. If Ron Paul is insulted then nobody in USA is safe.

Coming in from International flights is really worse. I am not sure who hires these people the government or the airlines, but they need to be taught customer service is #1.

I get treated much better as tourist to another country than I do as a citizen here.

1) We should be allowed to take water on the plane.

2) We should not have to take off our shoes or belts.

3) We should not be groped.

4) Have special cards designed for frequent travelers so they can by base non standard security and include pilots and flight attendants.

5) Have the machines only show dangerous items not an exact copy of the naked body.

6) Stop pretending that 6 year old American kids are carrying bombs, let them go through.

...Texas Congressman Ron Paul expressed his outrage and disgust with the TSA and its unconstitutional naked body scanners and genital groping...

He's just embarrassed they had to grope twice to find anything.

Please let us know how 9/11 could have been prevented by the TSA patting techniques? The terrorist were only carrying box cutters that back then were not illegal to carry in a hand bag. How can you prevent a martial arts trained terrorist commando to highjack a plane by checking their genitalia?
TSA is a total "psy ops" campaign and has nothing to do with real security. Zapping citizens with 1 Terawatt of energy in a full naked body scanner is about humiliating people and demonstration of control. Also, since the supposed terrorists were already in the cockpits prior to take off on 9/11 aircraft then your loving FAA allowed those aircraft to takeoff anyhow.....so who cares who gets on board!

Challenging the FED.....RP has more balls then all your political pals combined!

Ron Paul said Government agencies (ie TSA), by law, cannot profile.

However, private security agencies can.

Maybe it's time to abolish the TSA and let airlines provide their own security? And let travelers vote with their wallet?

Agreed outsource it to EL AL / ex IDF, and with random checks on the security people themselves. The checks could be done by Seal Team 6 or the likes, they were able to penetrate every nuclear reactor. I was very impressed with how EL AL took out that nutjob at LAX in 02 before airport police could even get there. They had 3-4 in the chest in less than 20 seconds even when one of them had to take a knife slash to the body.

Another terrorist attack was foiled on 18 April 1986 in what became known as the Hindawi Affair. A pregnant Irish woman named Anne-Marie Murphy was about to board an El Al flight at London's Heathrow airport when her bag was found to contain three pounds of plastic explosives. These had been planted by her fiancé Nezar Hindawi who was booked on a different flight. Hindawi was jailed for 45 years, the longest sentence ever delivered by a British court.[75] There was evidence that Syrian officials were involved and as a result, Britain cut off diplomatic relations with Syria

Please, try and tell me how rent a cops can do a better job with the above 3 examples.

Folks, these terrorists are for real in their desire to kill Americans. (Some of you may need to read that sentence a few more times.)

with all due respect to long time fellow ET member i'm actually believe that this is one big BS..i'm keep saying this shit since 9/11-those terrorists are a direct product of fucked up US foreign policy..in most cases they are actually created and funded BY US gvt..osama and saddam just a couple examples...if the "terrorizers" really want's to harm US and kill people they don't need a fucking plane..there is a plenty of other options...have you been in Lincoln or any other tunnels during peak hours?
I'm seriously risking my life right now in these crazy times by saying this on public forum, but every time i was stuck in traffic inside this fucking thing..you what know comes to my mind?
achilles28 was 100% right..it a fucking dog training...how much you can take..next step-USSR 1937..in fact-it's already here...RP supporters are declared as a domestic terrorists..this is the fact..still believe in democracy and any type of freedom after that? it's a really..really sad picture..and the speed of these events of government abuse is truly astounding to me..i've seen a lot in my life...red army, ussr collapse..i'm scared today in US..scared shitless..not for myself, but my family and their future in US..i'm not a big fan of immigration, but it looks like i have to move once again..

So you have to advocate the gold standard and support Ron Paul to be conservative??

Even if the gold standard did play a role, there are many other things that have contributed to empires forming throughout history. That doesn't mean we should go back to trading spices and sea shells just because those things were once used as money.

There is such a thing as financial evolution. That doesn't mean that some day that fiat will be replaced with something else. But I seriously doubt it will be gold.

You have absolutely no clue what the gold standard is and what purpose it serves. For an ignoramus you sure talking a lot. You like to listen to yourself, no doubt.
