would be interested in hearing from you both your thoughts on the meaning of "corporatism"
Basically the government in bed with corporations, the degree to which and the exact mechanisms are not always clear since it can simply a personal relationship or it can be an actual legal arangement like GM. Albert Speer sort of... sort of controlled Nazi industry, but mostly they liked and cooperated with Hitler anyway.
Some people like to say that the political spectrum is a horseshoe, not a line, with the far right and far left merging. I agree because whether you outright own the means of production, or simply take the output for political ends, is an artificial distinction.
You effectively own a company if you tax and regulate it enough.
Ron is thinking that corporations are running the gov't, not the other way around. I think it is a mixture, but ultimately Obama's instincts are to rule.

Some information - Fascism is considered far right on the conventional left-right political spectrum and is an opponent of liberalism, Marxism, and socialism. And Corporatism is a byproduct of capitalism.
Your convention is quite wrong because both ends of that spectrum are indistinguishable save the economic structure of how they arrived at a totalitarian state.
What's sad is genius's like yourself are unaware of it. I recognized it in 10th grade.
