Romney Victory :

Yeah, and good for him... However, it seems that this is perceived to be such an unpopular stance that even Rand Paul has to come out with some sound bites about "condemning" etc. In general, he definitely has the right idea and I very much respect him for that.

Trust me, with Rand Paul as President of the US, we'd stop being "cop of the World," and other countries may hate us a little less for that. We've FAR over-stepped our bounds, and a Man like Rand Paul can help put an end to it.

Is the public opinion in the UK and europe the same as here?

I would say the further you get from the power elites here, the less important the whole thing is seen as being. The public is sick and tired of endless interventions. Our leaders and their media lackeys seem to see this as a crucial test however.

My perception is that the attitudes in the UK (and, I guess, Europe) are very similar to what you describe above.

The problem is that, unfortunately, Rand Paul will never get to be the President of the US. He's not saying the things that the American people and the political establishment want to hear, it seems.

Nod. Us Americans - we want to be free to tell other people WTF to do and not do.
