“We've clearly entered some parallel universe during these last few days,” GM spokesman Greg Martin said. “No amount of campaign politics at its cynical worst will diminish our record of creating jobs in the U.S. and repatriating profits back to this country.”

"The day before, meanwhile, Chrysler Group LLC CEO Sergio Marchionne penned a letter to the Detroit News insisting that there was no validity to the idea that the company was shipping Jeep production overseas. Instead, he noted, the company was looking to open new factories in China to meet increasing demand there.

"The Romney campaign has showed no willingness to back off the suggestion that American Jeep workers may end up losing their jobs. In fact, the campaign has released a radio ad in Ohio to complement the one it has on television there that repeats the insinuation. "

It's too bad that so many believe this stuff. Romney may very well win, and I'll pay off to Jem. We'll then see which Romney we get. The good rombot or the evil rombot (Cheney, Koch, Teaparty, birthers, truthers, and all the rest of the crazies).

I always thought of it as being in a tropical paradise without leaving the U.S. when going to places like South Beach, Key West, Sanibel, and many many other places.

I knew a poker pro from NYC that settled in Tampa and couldn't wait to get out. He used to post here.

I left the area a bit south of tampa for a return to San Diego.

echoing what lucrum says tampa is better than a lot of other places... but not as good as some of the best places.

I note that a lot choices are made based on financial goals an marital status.

Starting out you go to NYC for the financial upside and the single women.
But unless you fast track to the the millions... I would think you would want to find a good women and then get the heck out. A sweaty smelly subway commute in NYC is a pretty shitty experience... In fact I thought the mexico city subway was a superior experience to the NYC subway.

So really the way to live in New York is to stay in NY mon thru thursday and get out to greewich or the hamptons or some other spot on the weekends (in the summer) and have the money to go to Fl or the islands in the winter.
That obviously takes cash.

So if you have a wife and kids and you make enough to already be at the beach...
