Romney Has 5 Point Lead

Quote from Maverick74:

Historically undecideds break for the challenger.

If that was the case incumbent Presidents wouldn't have a 70 % win rate

Incumbents also usually gain 7 points from summer polls

"The other anomaly has been in the summer months — June, July and August. In these months, the polls have tended to low ball the position of the incumbent party’s candidate. In July polls, for instance, the incumbent-party candidate has trailed by an average of 4 points in elections since 1968. However, the incumbent-party candidate has actually won these elections by an average of a little more than 3 points. In other words, there has been a seven-point swing on average toward the incumbent party’s candidate from the July polls until November."

Quote from Maverick74:

Also historically the President gets the same % in the popular vote as his approval rating. Obama is right around 43% now. No way he wins with 43%. He needs to get that to 50% and fast.

Obamas approval rating is around 47 % right now,not 43

Bushs numbers were nearly the same as Obamas this time in 2004

Once again our resident genius chimes in with his brilliance. :D

Glad you are finally realizing that all this whining the right is doing is a waste of time. Mittens is horrible, and unless things start to grossly inflate before the election, it's Obama.

Get out your dictionary and look up the word, "sarcasm". :D

Who would ever think we would have a President with a muslim name.
Bleeding heart liberals who despise all thing Christian and share much in common with Islam and it's need to force everyone to think and march in lock step.

In spite of the above ridiculous comment about liberals.

Who would have thought we would have had a Catholic President? Not many in 1960.

Who would have thought a grade B hollywood actor would be a good President?

Who would have thought a Mormon could ever get elected?

and, who would have thought a guy named Mitt would even have a chance? Not many of course.

Americans aren't afraid of the boogey man, or just a name. Part of what makes us Americans.

That hollywood actor had served two successful terms as governor of California. Voters knew what they were getting. The Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, is a Mormon. Is "Mitt" a more unlikely name for a president than "Barrack Hussein Obama?" I mean president of the US, not Kenya.

Maybe Americans should be a little more skeptical of what the media tells them or doesn't tell them. Voting for President isn't voting for American Idol.
