If the Republicans do not rally around and support Trump in the primaries, their chance at the White House is less than zero.
Romney is an introvert. That makes him a member of the introvert mafia. We are just starting to understand this phenomenon. Introverts think that extroverts are purely second class people. I experienced it while working a lot; the sickening introverts favored each other and I got krappy treatment. The more aware of this I become the more I realize it's a powerful thing. So Romney sees that Trump is an extravert and the way he sees it is that Trump doesn't bring the introvert superiority club with him and doesn't bring the "Mantle of the Presidency". Romney is semi-incompetent. He succeeds muchly because he's in the superiority club. Introverts all think they are superior and tend to overvalue their contributions.
The GOP is cucked, Romney's only chance to redeem himself is to rebrand under a 3rd party hoping to get moderates. There's zero chance in hell he wins as GOP if hell freezes over and the GOP don't decide to block nominees from primarying Trump.
