Roger Stone should just keep fighting and elevate it to a higher appeals court and even the US Supreme Court if need be. This is an evil witch hunt like the bogus, kangaroo court impeachment hearings and articles of the House against President Donald Trump.

Even if he does not win on appeal he can drag it out until past the release of Durham's investigation findings which will help people to under the origins and scope of the various scams and why Trump would be justified in pardoning/commuting Stone.

The fact that Trump will not have an election ahead of him plus Durham's report will just be a better climate. And if Trump is not re-elected, it will only make things more favorable for anyone who was ever on the losing end of Comey and Mueller. Trump will do mass pardons and commutations in his lame duck period between the election and the next inauguration. I think that legally it has been ruled that presidents and governors cannot do mass pardons and commutations of classes of individuals who have committed the same class of crime because becomes an overturning of legislation, but if the president or governor can certify that they have indivually reviewed a case, however minimal, it can be done. I am find that Trump will find a way.

If it were me I would commute the portion of Stone's sentence that is the fruit of the poisonous witch-hunt tree which is most of it, but I would have him serve about eighteen months hard time and five years probation related to threatening language or writings directed toward the judge or jurors or attempts to influence them. The government needs to be responsible for its bad behavior and I prevent them from benefitting from it in their prosecution. But Stone needs to be given some time for reflection without salting him away forever and a day and he has no prior record and is not a safety threat to the community. The Swat Team to arrest him notwithstanding. sheesh.
