This is not true, because in the womb, there is no person. We can call it "life", but it is not life that NEEDS to be protected!
A blatant disregard for life would be for me to just kill someone who is walking around. Or stepping on an injured bird, or stepping on a snail. THAT is blatant disregard for life.
But if I smack a mosquito or tick on my arm to kill the LEECH that is feeding on me, or getting rid of the fetus that is feeding off my body, because I do not want it there, it not a blatant disregard for life.
And it is neither your, nor ANYBODY ELSE'S BUSINESS, what the fuck I do with that life. If you want to make it YOUR business, then YOU will pay me hundred of thousands of dollars to raise the life. Maybe the DA is assuming that the woman who was killed by the gunman WANTED to have the baby. So both "lives" were taken.
What if the woman had a note in her purse that said that that day, she was going to the clinic to have the baby aborted. So she is gunned down, and the baby dies. Now...Is the gunman responsible for the baby's death, which was on it's way to death anyway?
