Rod Rosenswamp sets the trap for Trump

What a clown show. I just hope Trump does not sign up to be the clownee.

Mueller is unable to get Trump to sit for an interview, so he and rosenstein are on this trip where they are telling Trump he is not a target to get Trump to start feeling ballsy again and that he knows better than his attorneys- and feels like he can just go in and take care of business.

Then after the interview he goes back to being a target, either because of something he said- perjury trap- or because Mueller suddenly decides something new from the Cohen investigation has changed things.

What a joke. If Trump likes being a chump and being sucker punched he should just go in there and blow both legs off and get it over with. Mueller doesnt have the goods on him for the obstruction charge, so lets make this all about helping Mueller. And as far as the optics of a president pleading the fifth or whatever. Screw all that. Rosenstein is affirming that he is not even a target. So there. Wait until Comey and McCabe are called back to testify before Congress. The optics of the former FBI Director and Assistant Director asserting the fifth is not pretty either. Let's see how that goes and if the tards here say that that automatically means that they are guilty.

More to come.

The White House and its surrogates should be viciously attacking Mueller daily. You know, like the Clintons did to Ken Starr. Trump can lay the foundation for refusing to talk to Mueller or even firing him. If he treats Mueller as honest and ethical, people are entitled to ask, well if he's so great, why not talk to him?

I used to talk with a defense attorney in San Diego now and then. He was friends with someone I knew at the time.
On the back of his card.... he had this message...

"Mr... _____ is my attorney. His info is on the front of this card.

And although I completely respect law enforcement, I have been advised to never open my mouth if my attorney is not present. So I will cooperate to the best of my ability with lawful requests but I will not speak or open my mouth unless and until my attorney is present."

I kept that card in my wallet a long time.

That is core attorney and client advice.

It does not change because you wish to see an investigation end more quickly.

Yes, good advice. The prosecutors use the fact you want it closed to induce you to take unwise risks. Bottom line, they are not your friends. They are not interested in "tying up loose ends." They want to put your head in their trophy case.

Trump broke bread with the Deep State after the election, assuming they would play nice and accept the voters will. Biggest mistake of his career. What gets me, is he still continues to appoint neocons. Bolton? McMaster? Wray?

his chance to be a leader doing good for the people of the US and not be an establishment tool ended when he turned on Bannon and Bannon's policies. Bannon understood what the voters demanded. Trump seems to be floating in shallow establishment waters right now. If the tide gets any lower and he continues to drift there he will be impeached.
