I'm all for robotic restaurant employees if the hygiene is better. I would go to more. There are many restaurants I won't eat at if, for instance, the exterior is dirty or the employees look sketchy. I once went to a Taco Cabana in Texas, and the cashier had track marks all up and down her arms. Of course, I left quick. Having worked in restaurants many years ago, I can say emphatically where there is smoke there is fire. Also, it doesn't matter if it is fine dining or casual. The worst hygiene offenders tend to be locally owned rogue operations like, for instance, a steak and seafood restaurant abutting a corn field (serious rat problem). Don't worry. The locally owned type restaurants will be the last to implement robots if ever which will leave a few crappy jobs for all in many towns.
Who repairs/makes all the robots?
same guy who repairs toasters. Just plug them in and throw them in the trash when they wear out. Should be able to find a minimum wage worker to do that.
