Totally agree. Jobs have gone overseas to where capital gets the best return. Just as Trump Inc gets its trinkets made in China.
A (more) level playing field should be attained with tariffs.
That said, globalization is here to stay. Adapt or die. Make sure one's children get a good education or a life in menial service sector awaits.
This feel good populism feels great now, but it doesn't have legs. Capitalism will win out.
Can't argue with any of that. But populist candidates are going to continue to pop up the more inequality rears its ugly head. The more globalization pushes, the more its going to appear "us vs. them".
